About Us

The purpose of the Greater Hartford Quilt Guild is to promote awareness and appreciation of the art and heritage of quilt making, both among our membership, as well as the general public.

Information
Individual chapters, as a part of a major guild, enjoy many advantages. Guild-subsidized workshops and lectures by nationally known quiltmakers are available to each member at an affordable fee.
The newsletter, ”Basting Lines”, links hundreds of quilters with information on regional events, chapters and personal achievements.
The combined efforts of the Guild and its chapters results in regular contributions of service and money to communities and charitable institutions. This includes an annual scholarship.
Members are also able to exhibit quilts, teach and demonstrate the many aspects of quilt making at local and regional shows and fairs.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in quiltmaking.
