Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday each month (except those marked with * they will be the 4th Thursday of the month) at Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St, Ellington Center at 7pm. Guests and new members welcome.

Some highlights of the upcoming year:

October 20 - Tea Cup Auction - come bid on gently used/new quilting items.

November 17 - Ergonomics lecture by Laura McCarrick of Qulting by The Yard of Venon, CT.

December 15 - Dessert social along with ornament swap.

January 26* - Quilto, come enjoy this game for fun and prizes.

February 16 - Four Corner demonstrations.

March 22 - The Big Auction, this is the largest fundraiser of the year. Come and bid on new quilting items.

April 19 - Officer Nomination and Budget Approval

May 24 - Lecture to be determined

June 21 - Potluck dinner, challenge quilts will be displayed, and officer induction.


The 2011–2012 quilt challenge will be ‘Games People Play.’ Maximum size is 144 inches around the perimeter. Prizes will be awarded for Viewer’s Choice, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention.

UFO Challenge — finish up your unfinished projects and be entered to win fat quarter bundles at the end of the year.

Community Service Program — This year we will be donating neonatal quilts to Manchester Memorial Hospital. Maximum size should be 24 × 36 inches.

Show and Tell will be held every month except for March.
