Friendship Quilters of Windsor

Meetings are at 6:45 pm on the second Thursday of the month at the Windsor Senior Center, Mantianuck Avenue, Windsor. Meetings will be held in the Green Room during the ongoing renovation of the building.

Plans for the coming year are being worked on at this time.

This summer members have met to finish some of the charity quilts and also many tote bags have been finished for the cancer center at Hartford Hospital.

More quilts have been given to the children’s room at the Windsor Library. The children’s librarian has had show and read sessions to encourage the children to check the totes containing the quilts and books out to enjoy at home.

Quilts made from the friendship blocks members made during the past year will be shown at the Sept. meeting. Other quilts that people have finished over the summer months will also be shown at that time.
