Meetings are held on the 1st Wed of the month (Sept-June) @ the West Hartford Health & Rehab Center (Lower level), 130 Loomis Rd. West Hartford, @ 7pm. This is on the east side of North Main Street, just a short distance from West Hartford center.

We welcome visitors to join our small, friendly group at any meeting!

We got off to a good start at our September meeting: monthly programs were announced, ‘snacks’ were assigned, community service projects were defined and fund-raisers were explained. Additionally, we will be having a ‘Tip of the Month’ at each meeting.

Our programs for the next few meetings will be:

* November: Jo Hansling will present a program on “Remnants of the Past – Depression Era and Victorian Quilts.

* December: We will have a Holiday Appetizer & Dessert Tea (similar to last year) with members bringing their recipes to be shared and added to our chapter cookbook. Also, there will be an auction of member-made items.

* January: There will be a demonstration of tools and techniques by our own members.

* February: we will have a ‘hands on’ meeting where we will learn how to make Hanging Fabric Frames.

We have two Fund-Raisers scheduled in support of our chapter:

First -
All members have been asked to make an item to be auctioned off at our December meeting.

Second -
All members have been asked to contribute two ½-yard pieces of fabric. These will be cut into strips and made into ‘jelly-rolls’ to be auctioned at a spring meeting. Categories for the fabrics are: Batik, Black & White, Blenders (tone on tone), Brights or Florals.
