Date: March 26th - 28th, 2010
Where: Clarion Hotel, East Windsor, CT

The Clarion in East Windsor has just completed a $2 million remodel and the rooms are great. If you share a room (two queen beds) the cost of the retreat is $159; single room $244. This includes two Deluxe Continental Breakfasts, Wi-Fi, Saturday night Quilter’s Buffet, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The hotel is handicap accessible and reasonable accommodations can be arranged. Please no perfume as some members are sensitive.

Click here to download the registration form.

Details about the retreat

The theme is “High School Reunion” and there will be a lot of fun, free activities around the theme. All high schools have teachers but there will be no “call for teachers” as in the past. Retreat attendees are being asked to either teach/demo a 30–45 minute class during the weekend OR volunteer to help with registration/cleanup. There is no discount or payment to teachers.
This was done for several reasons: (1) it keeps the cost down, (2) some members are ready to start teaching and could use this small teaching experience to build a teaching resume, (3) some members could teach a class in their sleep. If you want to
teach, add your class and supply list to the registration form.

New 2010 Challenge

March 2010 marks the 100th anniversary of Mark Twain’s passing, so the challenge project for the 2010 retreat is in honor of that famous Connecticut Yankee, journalist, author, and adventurer. To learn more about the challenge, click here to open the file.

See you at “The Reunion!”
