GHQG 2007 Scholarship Winner

Well, congratulations again go to Stephanie Carver, (pictured on the right with her mom, Jean Carver, and with one of her quilts for kids) for winning this year’s $500.00 scholarship and a one year membership to GHQG. Stephanie has been making quilts for Connecticut Children's Medical Center for the past 4 years and has donated about 25 quilts at this time.

Stephanie is a senior at the University of Connecticut and is majoring in Environmental Engineering. She is currently working as an intern at the Department of Environmental Protection in Hartford for the second summer.

*Remember, members...the quilt show is the source of our scholarship's funds. The Scholarship committee is chaired by Phyllis Woodman (HQ).
