Greater Hartford Quilt Guild 2011Quilt Show


"Chapter and Verse"

This year's Quilt Show Challenge:  “Chapter & Verse”
 
Each Chapter will choose a quilt-related saying or a “rule” of quilting
and interpret it through quilts.

The following chapters have reserved their Quilting verse, saying or rule:

1. Glastonbury Piecemakers- "When life hands you scraps, make a quilt".

2. Friendship Quilters of Windsor- "In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you are in my block of friends".

3. Heritage Quilters- "When I bought this fabric, what was I thinking?"

4. Stafford Mill Town Quilters- "Friends are like fabric... you can never have enough".

5. Ellington Country Quilters- "Blessed are the children of quilters, for they shall inherit the quilts".

6. Apple Valley Quilters- "We don't exaggerate, we embellish!".

7. Newington Schoolhouse Quilters- "One who sleeps under a quilt is comforted by love".

8. West Hartford Quilters- "I'm a Quilter and my house is in pieces".

9. Enfield Quilters- "Nurture your friendships as you would tend your garden".

10. Vernon Nutmeg Quilters- "I cannot count my day complete, 'til needle, thread and fabric meet".

11. Berlin Sisters in Quilting- "Sew Much Fabric, So Little Time".

12. Quilter's West- "Quilts Tell a Story & the Story is the Past".

 



 

 

 

 


 

GHQG Chapter/Verse Challenge

Vote for the chapter who best interprets the verse
$1 = 1 vote

After expenses, the 2 winning chapters will receive 10% and 5%
